Order of Omega National Greek Honor Society

Order of Omega recognizes the top 3% of Washington University's Greek community, based on academic performance, chapter leadership & involvement, campus activities, and community service. The group sponsors Greek and campus-wide events. Students eligible for membership are welcomed into the order each semester and membership is restricted to juniors and seniors only.

2011 President of the Year
This award is given to a man and woman who served as president of his/her chapter during Spring of 2011 or Fall of 2011. These members have shown courage, passion, fairness, and all the qualities of Arete in their term as chapter president.
Fraternity President of the Year - Sam Knopf (Sigma Alpha Epsilon)
Sorority President of the Year Ashley Mitchell (Chi Omega)
2011 New Member of the Year
This award is given to a man and woman who has become part of Greek life during the Spring 2011 or Fall 2011 semester and has proven to be an outstanding member in our community. These individuals not only excel within their own chapters but in the classroom as well, promoting a positive image of Greek life on campus and showing great potential as a future Greek leader.
 Male New Member of the Year - Michael Zissman (Sigma Alpha Epsilon)
Female New Member of the Year - Rachel Schindler (Pi Beta Phi)

2011 Greek Leader of the Year
This award is given to a man and women who has contributed to the betterment of his/her chapter, upheld the ideals of Arete, and gone above and beyond the call of duty to serve the Greek community as a whole during the Spring of 2011 or Fall of 2011. (freshmen, sophomores and juniors are eligible for this award)
Male Greek Leader of the Year - Matt Halpern (Tau Kappa Epsilon)
Female Greek Leader of the Year - Sarah Rubin (Chi Omega)

2011 Arete Greek Man/Woman of the Year
This award is given to a sorority woman and a fraternity man who best exemplifies the six values of our Greek Mission Statement: integrity, loyalty, philanthropy, responsibility, friendship, and intellectual curiosity. These individuals are true representatives of what a Greek man or woman at Washington University should strive to be. (only seniors may be nominated for this award)
Greek Man of the Year - Eric Salzberg (Sigma Chi)
Greek Woman of the Year - Amy Turner (Chi Omega)

2011 Chapter Advisor of the Year
This award is given to a man and woman who contributed to the betterment of his/her chapter through serving as a chapter advisor during the Spring of 2011 or Fall of 2011.  This alumni(ae) should be involved with the chapter, seen as a resource by members, and actively contribute to the success of the chapter he/she advises.
Fraternity Chapter Advisor of the Year - Richard Ockers (Tau Kappa Epsilon)
Sorority Chapter Advisor of the Year - Marianne Brady (Pi Beta Phi)

2011 New Initiative Award
This award is given to the chapter that has implemented a new project or program that reflects the chapter’s creative or innovative approach to an area of Greek Life.
New Initiative of the Year - Sigma Alpha Epsilon Goal Setting Retreat
 
 

Grade Cups (highest combined chapter GPA for Fall and Spring 2011) 

Women – Alpha Epsilon Phi
Men – Beta Theta Pi
