Greek life has played an important role for undergraduate students for over 100 years at Washington University in St. Louis. Approximately 2,000 students are members of Greek organizations, making up 25% of the undergraduate population. We currently have 19 chapters, 12 fraternities and 7 sororities. Each sorority has a living room-style suite located in the Women's Building, while 10 of our fraternities reside in University-owned houses.

Fraternities and Sororities are supported through the Greek Life staff within Student Involvement and Leadership. The Greek Life staff, located in Danforth University Center Room 150, aims to provide “one-stop-shopping” for students involved in Greek life.
