Women's Panhellenic Association Executive Board
The Women's Panhellenic Council (Panhel) is the governing and unifying body for the six sororities on the Washington University campus. Major contributions of Panhel include: the establishment and enforcement of agreed upon standards; the organization of women's recruitment; Greek Week; and the G.A.M.E.S. new member education program. The InterFraternity Council (IFC) is the representative legislative body of the fraternity community. The objectives of the council are to: serve as a liaison between fraternities, the St. Louis Community, and the University at large; foster a sense of inter-fraternalism among the member chapters; organize and coordinate programs for the Greek community; educate the fraternities and the University of the values and issues that affect Greek life; and insure the continued existence and growth of a strong and productive fraternity community. All 11 fraternities at Washington University are members of IFC.
Black Greek Council
The Black Greek Council (BGC) is a council that encompasses all the historically black fraternities and sororities in the National Pan Hellenic Council. With all of the chapters in St. Louis being city wide, it is BGC's goal to pool their resources and members to serve as a support system for one another as well as a means of fulfilling community service initiatives. BGC also informs the community about the Black Greek system, its purpose, and its presence. The chapters involved in BGC are:
